Helen Thomas

Trustee

Helen is a chartered accountant and tax advisor and holds a diploma in charity accounting. She has spent most of her career at Dyke Yaxley in Shrewsbury, where she was Managing Director form 2005-2012. She now works as a consultant for the firm.

She has performed various voluntary roles in recent years including School Governor at a local primary school (as Chair of Finance and then Chair of Governors), Gift Aid Secretary for her village church and Parish Councillor. She is also a Trustee (Treasurer) of the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund.

“It is really important that we support and encourage young people to develop their entrepreneurial skills and set up successful businesses. It is particularly difficult for  disadvantaged young people to achieve this and SYST plays a key role in assisting them”
