The Hive is a community charity organisation working primarily across Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin, and with a venue in Shrewsbury town centre. Our work has a wellbeing focus and aims to support the needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged people through arts and culture. Specifically, our focus is on working with children, young people, and young adults, however this is not exclusive, and our charity responds to the needs of our local communities and implements targeted work with older people, as well as intergenerational projects. Since 2010, the organisation has supported over 44,000 people across the region through its wellbeing projects.

In the role of Chair, you will work alongside your Trustee colleagues and the Chief Executive Officer, ensuring we are properly positioned to deliver our strategic plan:
· To lead the Board of Trustees
· To support and work closely with the CEO, in ensuring the Board and the Leadership team work together in genuine partnership
· To safeguard and protect the financial direction and future strategic plans for the charity relating to fundraising and sustainability
You should have experience in one or more of the following areas: Leadership, Fundraising, HR, Charity Law, Charity accounts, equality and diversity, and safeguarding.
