Lisa Avery

Mentor

I’m a positive psychologist, trainer, speaker and coach, who uses positive psychology – the science of optimal human functioning – in an array of settings. My past projects have involved the design and/ or delivery of interventions to clients in Education, Government, the NHS, charities, and the corporate world. I hold a master’s degree in Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology and pride myself on captivating my audience through candid self-expression, exuberant passion, and buoyant energy. My ultimate mission is to enlighten, enliven and empower humans to exponential levels of happiness, meaning and success. I do this by breaking down the research, catalysing conversations and helping individuals come up with creative ways to positive change.

All sessions are grounded in Positive Psychology and explore how humans thrive, even at times of uncertainty, challenge, and adversity. Each session is a journey which raises questions, provides research, and offers practical tools to boost wellbeing, achievement, and resilience. Each participant will be invited to explore their strengths, values, and passions to secure a positive sense of self and overcome the negativity bias of the brain. They will be equipped with the tools to become emotionally agile and psychologically flexible. They will be given the theory and skills to master their thoughts, emotions, and behaviour for the ultimate self- efficacy, self- confidence, and self -control.

Ultimately each session will empower individuals to create the conditions in their life for optimal wellbeing. Lives that are rich in positive emotions, engagement, great relationships, a sense of meaning, real accomplishment and resilience. Participants will leave the sessions feeling uplifted, motivated, and determined to take steps towards positive change.
