Marsh Charitable Trust

Marsh Charitable Trust

The MCT was founded in 1981 as a grant-making body by Brian Marsh, who is our current Chairman. We believe in supporting organisations and people who are striving to make a difference. Our aim is to contribute to and promote the excellent work which is being undertaken across the sector. We provide long-term core funding to small charities and run an Awards’ programme for individuals and groups committed to social, cultural and environmental causes.
The Trust focuses on providing funding which could help small organisations pay for various running costs, such as volunteer expenses, training days, equipment maintenance and other core outgoings. Our funding strategy is to provide long-term core funding for such costs, as we understand that many of the organisations we support depend on unrestricted income in order to meet their operating needs.
The Awards Programme provides recognition to those who modestly work to improve the world we live in, and celebrates the outstanding contributions of these people who are committed to social, cultural and environmental causes.
